Richard and Lauree Hayden
Founders & President
Richard and Lauree Hayden, Founders of New Hope Global, have been serving in Guatemala since 2019. After their initial mission trip in 2017, they sensed the Lord leading them to move to this beautiful country to serve as full-time missionaries. The Haydens, along with their sons Caleb and Joshua, are passionate about being disciples who make disciples.
Mary Elisabeth Bryant
Associate Director of New Hope
Mary Elisabeth Bryant started serving in Guatemala in 2020 after spending a year abroad in Honduras. Mary Elisabeth believes in the vision of New Hope, to be disciples that make disciples. She is passionate toward the young women and mothers in our community, and works to help them support their families. She is an incredible asset to the New Hope team and to the people of Guatemala.
Makenna King
Director of New Hope Coffee
Makenna King started serving in Guatemala in 2020. After two years of prayer and serving, Makenna began to feel the leading of the Lord to start a coffee shop. The vision of New Hope Coffee is to offer a quality product that makes a way for gospel conversations and disciple training. Makenna is a vital asset to the New Hope team and a blessing to the people of Guatemala.
Daniel Roberson
New Hope Discipleship Trainer
Daniel Roberson began serving in Guatemala in 2020, after spending time in Honduras. During that year, he felt the calling to full time missions. In December of 2022, Daniel moved to Guatemala full time. God has made a way for Daniel to join the New Hope Staff, and we couldn't be happier. As a trained disciple who has a heart to make other disciples, Daniel is a crucial part of the team.
Nathan Cole
New Hope Discipleship Trainer
After visiting on short term trips for six years, Nathan served in Guatemala for three months in 2023 as he sought the Lord concerning full-time missions. The Lord confirmed His calling on Nathan’s life to serve with New Hope Global in Guatemala. New Hope is honored to have Nathan on our team. His heart is to be a disciple who trains disciples until there is no place left without the Gospel.
Emma Gardner
New Hope Discipleship Trainer
Emma Gardner began serving in Guatemala in 2022. Since her first mission trip to Guatemala in 2019, Emma knew the Lord was leading her to full time missions. After praying and waiting, God brought Emma to the New Hope family. She is now passionate about being a disciple who makes other disciples and has a heart for training Guatemalans to do the same. New Hope is so thankful for Emma!
Atticus Sewell
Resident Field Director
Atticus Sewell began serving in Guatemala in 2021 as he was exploring God’s calling for his life, and began to feel led to serve Him full-time in foreign missions after spending a year in Honduras. Atticus is passionate about making the name of Jesus famous to the ends of the earth as a disciple that makes other disciples. New Hope is honored to have Atticus on staff as he grows in intimacy with God.
Sydney DeRosier
Resident Field Director
Sydney DeRosier began serving on the international mission field in Honduras in 2022 and then in Guatemala in 2023. During Sydney’s time in Guatemala, the Lord clearly led her to join New Hope Global. Sydney is passionate about following Jesus as a disciple that makes other disciples. New Hope is honored to have Sydney on our team and we are excited to see what God will continue to do through her.
Lucia Hernandez Archila
Resident Discipleship Trainer
Our first full time Guatemalan on staff, Lucia's role is a Resident Discipleship Trainer. She will be training others in Guatemala to follow the Great Commandment and the Great Commission to make the name of Jesus known throughout Guatemala and to the Ends of the Earth. She is passionate about our heart, to train disciples that train disciples until there is no place left without the Gospel.
Caleb Hayden
Resident Social Media Coordinator
Caleb Hayden moved to Guatemala in 2019 with his family. While Caleb has been serving in the area of discipleship, he has also expressed an interest, and has shown talent, in the area of social media and photography. Like most teenagers, Caleb desires to earn extra money as he learns life skills.
Our Interns
This coming year, our interns will help us to oversee New Hope Gap, a ministry designed to align graduated high school students to the heart of Jesus. Our interns have previously served in Guatemala, and desire to make disciples who make disciples. We are so thankful for their obedience to the Lord, as they are valuable members of our team.
